ELLIE LAWRENCE

Managing Director/Owner

[email protected]

Ellie is an experienced business owner and non-executive director with a strong focus on corporate governance.

Ellie began her career in the finance industry, and following a break in her career to focus on raising her three children, she returned to the workplace in 2017, providing company secretarial and governance services predominantly to the third sector.

Having initially worked for, and subsequently acquired FWS Ltd, Ellie has grown the business substantially and is recognised as one of Guernsey’s leading businesswomen. Ellie is regularly called upon to provide advice and consultancy services to a wide range of firms, charities and committees and is a valued contributor to local business fora.

In tandem with running her business and her family, Ellie holds a number of board positions in her capacity as both a director and non-executive director.

Homelife is busy with a husband, 3 children, 1 dog and 5 chickens to cater for.  She enjoys volunteer work, particularly around mental health awareness and children's wellbeing. She will also happily chew your ear off about her other favourite topic - the vital part women play in society and combatting gender imbalance in the workplace.  If Ellie gets any downtime you might find her taking in Guernsey's coastal cliff paths or planning the family’s next adventure.

Having joined FWS in early 2023, Shell is the most recent addition to the team.

Shell has worked in the events industry for over 10 years, and has been involved in the delivery of over 250 events. These range from sporting events such as The London Triathlon, International Ski races and various National University competitions. Closer to home, she specialises in leading Charity event teams to deliver fashion shows and high profile Gala dinners where her skills as an event manager shine through.

Her charity events have been responsible for raising between £250k - £2m, so no challenge is too big or small!

Shell has a passion for sport, and a Snowsports aficionado in particular. Having once been a racer she has re-trained as an International Ski race official, whose role is to ultimately oversee the safety and fairness of International ski competitions.

When not in the snowy Alps, Shell enjoys spending time at home with her husband, baby and extended family as she settles into her new home of Guernsey. If you have any local recommendations, let her know!
